UAE Polo crowned champion of IFZA Gold Cup 2023 Dubai Open

The IFZA Gold Cup 2023 Bentley Subsidiary Final kicked off with a fiery match between Ghantoot Polo and CAFU’s Dubai Wolves, with Carlos Ulloa scoring the opener and Pablo Llorente Jr. quickly end the match with the first chukker. Wolves patron Habtoor Al Habtoor scored a superb goal with Ulloa’s second last goal at the end of the game, leading the team with a two-goal lead. The Wolves had complete control of the ball in the third half, when the black Dubai Wolves players took a three-goal lead.
In the final match, it was Teodoro Lacau from Dubai Wolves who raised the score to double digits, and with Ulloa ending the match 11-8, sealing a victory for Dubai Wolves over CAFU.

The final match of the Dubai Open 2023 is eagerly awaited, as it features two of the IFZA Gold Cup 2023 heavyweights – the UAE Polo team and the IFZA Habtoor Polo team.
Tommy Beresford scored the first goal of the match for UAE Polo. Soon after, Juan Jauretche and Bautista Bayugar each scored a goal for IFZA Habtoor Polo. The second chukker, opening with two consecutive goals from Bayugar and two goals from Tommy Beresford, as the two teams drew until the end of the second half, with four goals in all.
The next two innings were a quick exchange of goals, but the UAE managed to get through and take a one-goal lead at the end of the penultimate half.
With seven minutes to go, UAE’s Polo had to give his all, but Lucas Monteverde Jr. and Tommy Beresford tried to create a three-ball cushion in the middle of the chukker.
Bayugar scored a goal for the IFZA Habtoor Polo, but in the end, Lucas Monteverde Jr. was the scorer of the decisive goal, bringing the overall victory to UAE Polo as two-time champions of the IFZA Gold Cup 2023.
